2000 Ford Focus Windshield Washer Pump NOT working...?

I have a 2000, Ford Focus. It's not cold outside, The wipers work fine, I even went to the extent of changing the Washer Pump, and the Switch at the Steering wheel, and Nothing. There is no power to the new pump. I checked the fuses and they are all good. What can this problem be? Any Ideas??

Depends. If you have rear wipers as well it's controlled through a Central Timer Module that you'd need to locate and diagnose. If you don't (doesn't matter if you have intermittent or not) the module works only to keep the washer going a bit longer after you press the switch, so you're back to a wiring problem.

In the latter case, 12VDC should be present any time the ignition is on, on one of the wires, as the system controls the ground side to make it work. If you have no power (12VDC +) on either wire to the pump and the fuse is ok, the problem is between the fuse box and the pump.

You could also check for a switching ground with a test light between each wire and the positive of the battery as the switch is pressed, but if you have no power (positive 12VDC) at either wire, I'd go after that first.

Have you had any body work done recently? It's very common to have a wire cut or connector not reconnected after such work.

Good luck.

cheak the relays and wireing there is eather a short or an open in the circut cheak the wiring on the pump and at the switch and in be tween the too if you have a test light and a digital volt ohm meater use them to see if wire is broke or shorted the meater should have a contunity cheaker on it to see if curcit is open
