nope simply clips on like any other wiper
the whole assembly can come off.... meaning the wiper itself and the clip for it. Your wiper arms curve into a hook at the end.... just slide the wipers off including the clip.... your new wipers will have different clips included when you purchase them, just find the ones that fiy the hook. It's literally plug-and-play, couple minutes of work.
