All of my CD's are in good condition without major scratches, ect. and they used to play flawlessly. Now the car stereo will read %26quot;Err%26quot; and spit the CD out. This has happened for about 5 days.
I have to bring my car in soon for an oil change/tire rotation/new windshield wipers - if there is a problem, would the mechanic be able to look at that as well?

Sounds to me like your lens inside your stereo is dirty. You can try buying a cleaning kit, it is just a cd with some brushes on it. If it is still under warranty you could send it in and have it cleaned. It doesn't sound like any wiring issue so i don't think your mechanic will be able to do anything with it.
