OK, back in November I bought a used car and took
it in for an inspection. They inspected the car and i fixed everyth
ing needed to pass the inspection. 2 days ago I changed the windshield on the car and the people at the glass place could not mount the inspection stickers back on the windshield so told me to get new stickers at the place where I got my last inspection. I go there today and the guy tells me that he cannot issue me new stickers because the odometer is not working. Apparently the miles are the same as they have when I checked in the vehicle in Nov for inspection. I asked the guy whether they had checked the odometer in november when it passed inspection and he answered %26quot;technically yes!%26quot; Now they will not issue me new stickers because the odometer is still showing the milage that it was registered with 3 months ago. What should I do? Is this grounds for suing? I mean if they haven't checked my odometer, what else is my car left unchecked? Thank you

Good luck proving it.
You can sue anyone you want. Its providing evidence that wins your case that is the hard part. They'll say it was working fine and unless you have some overwhelming proof it wasn't, you have no case.
Take it to another garage and have it inspected, maybe they won't notice or simply fix it.

Are they legally required to verify the speedometer/odometer operation? If so, you have them over a barrel since they obviously did not. %26quot;Technically yes%26quot; doesn't mean squat.
